The Door Harp
The door harp is the first mechanical musical instrument in the world. It has its origins in the Finnish home decor and is an integral part in the traditional setting of Scandinavia. Ever built with resonance box, the frame shape was developed in the studio „spiel - zeug mit musik“ too, in which the door itself serves as a sounding board (also works with glass and metal doors).
How it works
The door harp is mounted directly on the door. Through the movement of the door during opening and closing, the balls or bobbins touch the strings: the door harp fills the room with a light and gentle sound.

The door harps "Ammonite" lean visually to the petrified form of ancient animals. The wood, as polished, thus has a very similar structure in the grain.
As a "Waldstücke" I call everything I leave with raw materials, such as the wood or the tree stood in the forest: mainly with bark. But there are many more opportunities to "bring over" the forest...
